Delete Your Account

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time. The process is instant and permanent.

Your right to erasure (GDPR Art. 17)  ·  Processed within 7 days
Warning - this cannot be undone. Deleting your account permanently erases all your data from our servers. Make sure to export your data first if you want to keep a copy: open Keepra and go to Settings - Export All Data.

Option 1 - Delete from the app (instant)

The fastest way. No waiting, no email required - your account and all sync data is erased immediately.

1 Open Keepra

Web: keepravault.com/app.html - or open the desktop or Android app.

2 Open Settings

Click the account icon in the top-right corner, then choose Settings.

3 Go to Data & Privacy

Scroll to the Data & Privacy tab in the settings panel.

4 Click Delete Account

Scroll to the bottom to find Delete Account. Confirm the prompt. Your account and all synced data will be permanently deleted.

Option 2 - Request deletion by email

If you cannot access the app, send a deletion request from the email address associated with your account:

What gets deleted

When you delete your account, the following is permanently erased from our servers:

  • Your Firebase authentication record
  • All synced collections: links, vault credentials, notes, tasks, contacts, and files
  • Your profile and settings
  • Any sync history or device records

This data cannot be recovered after deletion.

Local data on your device

Keepra stores data locally in your browser's localStorage and IndexedDB (for files). This local data is not deleted by the server-side account deletion - it stays on your device until you clear it yourself.

To remove local data: open Keepra, go to Settings - Data & Privacy - Clear All Local Data. On Android, uninstalling the app also removes all local data.
