Keepra Vault is an offline-first, AES-256-GCM encrypted productivity workspace. It combines six tools in one app - a bookmark manager, zero-knowledge password vault, Markdown notes, task manager, contacts directory, and 50 MB file storage - plus a built-in local MCP server that lets AI assistants like Claude and Cursor access your data privately, without sending anything to external servers. Available free during public beta on Android, Windows, and the web.

Yes - 100% free during beta. No credit card, no time limit, no hidden upgrade walls. Every tool, every feature, every platform is included. Paid plans will launch later (target Q4 2026) once we have our ecommerce license in place. Beta users will get early-adopter rates.

No account needed to use Keepra Vault locally. Your data stays on your device with no sign-up required. If you want cross-device sync, Keepra Vault uses a Secret Key system - we generate a cryptographic key for you. No email address, no password to remember. The key itself both authenticates you and encrypts your data.

Everything in Keepra Vault is encrypted with AES-256-GCM, the same standard used by banks and governments. Your master password is never stored anywhere - it's used locally to derive an encryption key via PBKDF2 (600,000 iterations). Even if someone had our servers, they'd see nothing but random ciphertext. This is called zero-knowledge encryption.

Yes. Keepra Vault is offline-first - all your data lives on your device in encrypted local storage. You can create links, write notes, add tasks and manage your vault with no internet connection. When you're back online, changes sync automatically to your other devices via Firebase (zero-knowledge, encrypted before upload).

Notion is great for notes and tasks but has no encrypted vault, no password manager, no bookmark manager and no AI connector. 1Password is a fantastic password manager but that's all it does. Keepra Vault does all of it - links, vault, notes, tasks, contacts, files, and AI access - in one zero-knowledge encrypted app. No context switching, no managing five subscriptions, no unencrypted data sitting in Notion.

Both Android and iOS apps are available. The Android app is live on Google Play in open testing - download it here. The iOS app is in development. The web app at keepravault.com/app also works on any mobile browser and can be added to your home screen as a PWA.

Unlimited devices during the beta period. Sync between devices using your Secret Key - just scan the QR code shown on any signed-in device to instantly link a new one. When paid plans launch, device limits will apply per plan tier, but your existing devices will be grandfathered in.

50 MB during beta. This covers images, PDFs, ZIP and RAR files. When paid plans launch, storage goes up to 500 MB (Lifetime) and 2 GB (Pro). Files are encrypted in chunks and synced to Firestore - there is no public sharing of files (all private, all yours).

Your data is yours and stays exactly where it is. When paid plans launch, beta users get a grace period to choose a plan, and we will offer early-adopter discounts to everyone who used Keepra Vault during the beta. If you have a promo code, enter it in Settings → Data & Privacy now to lock in your early-adopter benefit.

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor talk to your data securely. Keepra Vault's MCP Connector lets you generate scoped API keys - you decide exactly which tools and items each AI can read or write. For example, you can let Claude read your notes and tasks but never touch your Vault passwords. You're always in control.

Yes. Keepra Vault's MCP server exposes 14 tools that AI clients can call to read and write your local data - tasks, notes, contacts, links, files, and (with explicit permission) individual vault credentials. All communication stays on your machine via localhost. Nothing is ever sent to Anthropic, OpenAI, or any cloud service.

npx -y keepra-mcp is the one-line install for Keepra Vault's official MCP package on npm. It launches a local stdio MCP server that AI clients connect to. The server authenticates requests using a Bearer token (your KEEPRA_KEY), enforces per-tool scopes you configured, and relays approved requests to the Keepra Vault app running on your machine. No installation required beyond Node.js.
